I bought this frame on Thursday from GoLo for $3 - such a bargain as it included the cream mounting. I just chose a portion out of my circus scene I did last year that would make a good little picture by itself.
It was nice having more space to draw in as usually my pictures are a lot smaller and harder to put in a lot of detail with the colour. It took 3 and a half hours last night to colour. Usually it would take longer as I spend a fair bit of time coordinating colours and testing out blends - this time I already had the colour combinations to give me a start (from the original)
Here's the clowns cropped:

Today a lady from Pete's work saw my winter pic and asked what it was.
I said I drew it.
She says, " oh, and Samuel coloured it in?"
Pete and I had a little chuckle afterwards.

I finished this last night (after i recovered from a 2 day tummy bug!)
It's hard to see the detail so small (and it's a photo, so a bit blurry and glarey).
I'm not yet sure if I am totally happy with it, but I enjoyed the challenge of a snow picture. It was very different to get all the colours to work well with so much bluey/purpley snow everywhere. If I did it again, I would do a few colours differently.
I never time myself when I am drawing, but it does take ages.
I did the stripey tree and spotty tree one afternoon and it took just under 2 hours.
It took me 2 and a half hours to colour in the snow.

Here's some cropped images of the winter pic I am working on.
Obviously, still have a bit to go. They are cropped and shuffled up. Just taken with my camera. Hopefully I will finish early this week and get it scanned in. It is A3, so have to get it scanned in @ the printers.

I will never be able comprehend Jesus' death and sacrifice in all it's fullness. Words cannot describe what God's Son did for me. I know he raised from the dead and is alive today. I know he loves ME.

I took a photo of some pictures I drew a few years ago (wonky photos). These are only cartoony little pics, but I still like them. They have been up on a wall, so unfortunately they have faded :(
It is a series of 3.
ONE: Me, set free, made a new creation to worship the King of the Universe.
TWO: Me, a Warrior Princess Chick, a daughter of the King, dressed in the armour of God
THREE: Me, Spreading God's love everywhere I go, "we are the fragrance of Christ to all who are perishing, the aroma of His Love."
In other cool news, we got a new scanner/colour printer/photocopier (Thanks Goulds!) - so when I fully initiate myself with it, I can scan in heaps of my art stuff.
Keep grooving on my little sunflowers and hippos!

Here's pictures from one of his newer books titled "Castles". It has no words in it, just all different themed eccentric castles. He did all of these using a computer program and drawing on a special mousepad thingy.

Let me know what you think of him, or which pics you like :)
