Last night we had a little PaRtY to CeLeBrAtE the return of the KaRin to Parkes.

Nick says it is "The Curse of Parkes" that draws people back here to live. Hmmmm......

.

As usual, our game night parties involve NuTriCiOuS and ScRuMpTiOuLiCoUs food.

.

We attempted to play trivial pursuit, but we all so utterly hopeless we couldn't get anything right. (After half an hour, only one team had got one peice, so we sheepishly ditched it).

.

Had a mad time playing CRANIUM. No need to say which team won, as NICK & I are extremely modest and we know everyone else gave it their best shot. Good on ya guys, you all deserve an Encouragement Award! (he he he).

MacGyver and Chocolate

Zarna spends so much time vehemently denying a crush on Macgyver that it is starting to look beyond suspicious.

MY FRYING PAN BLEW UP!!!!

In other news, my trusty frying pan blew up on me last night and I was ELECTROCUTED and BURNED.

When I plugged it in, the light wouldn't come on the plug/cord. Then I saw a flicker, so I was fiddling with the cord (the big fat bit with the dial refer to left hand corner of pan pic) trying to insert it properly. Then there was (simutaneously) a HUGE bang (louder than party poppers) and sparks of fire and smoke. The fire was on my hand. It was a huge fright, I was a bit freaked and shocked. Pete and Roo were there and were in full panic mode too. I felt all funny from the jolt (worse than Nick's buzzer dooby game and car battery stunts we did as teens)

The funny bit of skin between my forefinger and thumb was burned and turned black from the flames. There is a blister there now, that is all red underneath, but black on top (I can't scrub the blackened bit off, it's stuck for now).

Anyway, I got to relax for half an hour after with my hand in a jug of cold water. Still had to make dinner though.....as our guest Nick was coming over :)

Well, I like a bit of drama, so it's all good except now we have no frying pan........

FBI Sleepover

On Saturday night we had a sleepover for the older students in our FBI Sunday School Class. They are all really cool kats and they were heaps of fun. They ate SO much food!!! We had 5 pizzas and 10 Litres of fizzy and my entire kitchen bench was covered in junk food they brought as nibblies. I wish I had taken a picture!

They munched their way through:

• multipack of Crunchies
• mutipack of Cadbury Boost's
• Block of Cadbury Crunchie chocolate
• packet of clinkers
• 2 x 250g bags of M&M's
• Bag of Cadbury Dairymilk balls
• 20 choc-coated icecreams
• multipack of Sniggles milkytop biscuits
• big bag of Kettles chips
• giant packet of Starburst Joosters
• Big bag full of Redskins
• Packet full of Chupa-Chups
• 8 Cream-filled chocolate cupcakes

That's all I can remember offhand. Did I mention that this was between SIX kids? Well done!!!! (Pete, Nick and I only had a smidgen on the side). Needless to say, they had a GRAND time indulging and watching movies. There was not a scrap of food or drink left over!

The 4 girls and I went out to get the movies and pizza. We got a stack of movies, too many to watch, but that was part of the fun (We got through 5 movies). It was pretty easygoing, 2 chickies fell asleep @ 12:30 and the rest stayed up until 4am. Impressive for primary school kids.

Reuben came out in the morning and put Barney on LOL while they were still sleeping. Here's a few pics:

BTW, FBI stands for Funky Believing Individuals. We have 12 in the class. Our Sunday School is AOK - Agents Of the King. The Infants class are CIA - Christians in Action. And the Creche are COPs Children Of Praise.

Here's a pic of Carissa when she woke up from her nap, just because. She's looking a little on the scruffy side. I have to wake her up everyday now to go and get Samboy from school.
